How every page here is verified

Official sources only

A claim here has to come from the body responsible for it: the official gazette that published the rule, the Ministry of the Interior, the Government Delegations, the Tax Agency, the town hall. Other guides, law firm blogs and relocation agencies are not cited, even when they are right, because a copy gives no way to notice when the original changes. Most of what is on this site is read from the consolidated text of the 2024 Immigration Regulation, which is the version in force rather than the version as first published.

The date is part of the fact

Every figure, form code and requirement carries the date a person last confirmed it against its source, shown on the page rather than buried in a changelog. This is enforced by the code, not by discipline: the type that holds a sourced value will not compile without both a source and a check date, so a fact cannot reach the site by being typed in confidently.

The office directories carry their own capture dates — 2026-08-26 for the National Police units and 2026-08-27 for the Immigration Offices. If a page looks old to you, it is old to us too.

Where the source fixes no figure, none is published

This is the rule that costs the most traffic and matters the most. Two of the most searched questions about Spanish permits — how much investment the self-employed permit needs, and what income the digital nomad authorisation requires — have no answer in the law. The Immigration Regulation sets no investment amount, and Ley 14/2013 fixes no income. The figures circulating are administrative practice and consultancy estimates. So this site says that, instead of repeating a number that would rank better.

How the office data was gathered

The province pages exist because that data is genuinely hard to assemble: 214 National Police units and 56 Immigration Offices, with their addresses, phone numbers, opening hours and the services each one lists, spread across the police directory and nineteen separately maintained Government Delegation pages that share no common format. Each service label is matched to the procedure it corresponds to, and both the English and the literal Spanish wording are published, because the Spanish is what is printed above the counter.

Where an office publishes no itemised list of services, the page says so rather than implying a precision the source does not support. Several of the largest provinces are in that position.

What gets published, and what does not

There are 40 procedures here, and each one was published only after its facts had been read from the body responsible for it. Several more are missing for that reason — nationality reports, the Brexit Withdrawal Agreement cards, the EU Blue Card, the researcher permit. They will get a page when they have been read, not before.

In September 2026 around a thousand pages were removed from this site in one go. They combined each procedure with each province, and although the office details on them were real, the article around those details was the national guide with a place name substituted in. That is a thin page however accurate its footnotes, so the office data now lives once, on the page for the province itself.

What this site cannot tell you

It can tell you what a procedure requires. It cannot tell you what your case requires — that depends on your nationality, your current status and your history with the administration, and it is a question for the authority or a qualified professional.
